ONE Life Revolution is back!

Posted on 8 July, 2008 by Sivin Kit

If any of you are in Klang Valley, I’d like to highly recommend this event to help us go beyond our comfort zones into the life experiences of those who struggle with HIV/AIDS. At least go yourself, if possible bring a friend, and if you can bring a group, that would be even better.

From information from *ATTENTION People* ONE Life Revolution is back!

The One Life Revolution (OLR) has been quietly making its rounds as it prepares to launch off the road next week, after taking a month-long sabbatical. The OLR team comprising Ayn, Ching Wui and me have been making a ton of calls, making plans, meeting people and coordinating with various locations for a confirmation on dates.

We are reminded how often of the small tedious tasks we have will ultimately conclude in this massive exhibit call the OLR that we want to bring to the masses. Because we firmly believe in the exhibit as an important advocacy tool that will educate the people to understand the personal struggle people with HIV/AIDS go through. To walk in the shoes of these people will be an enormous challenge we want to present to Malaysians as we believe they can handle the challenges presented to them.

The people volunteering with us in the OLR are also an immense blessing to the team as we helped to train them to in that sense to ‘run the show’. Trust me, when we say they run the show. A good team of dedicated AND enthusiastic volunteers, make all the difference in the world at the exhibit. As they bring excitement and the joy to volunteering at the exhibit. And we are grateful to the volunteers for giving up time, effort and perhaps even money to ensure the OLR is a success.

So I have a question for you, yes you readers. YOU have one life to live on planet earth, what are you going to do about it? Quoting Thoreau “How vain it is to sit down and write when you have not stood up to live”. Here’s our chance to do something and it starts by just dedicating 20 minutes of your time to walk through the exhibit. Whether its life changing or not, you decide after your journey.

You have one life, do something.

Catch us in Dream Centre (behind Jaya 33 Mall) next week, July 8-13 from 10am onwards, kicking off the 2nd leg of tour as promised earlier! KLites and PJians, don’t miss this out! There will be Special Performances by Juwita Suwito and other cool live bands the whole week. Check this event out in our Facebook!
