  • No More Tears: A Solidarity Speech and Prayer

Namun demikian, adakah tangisan air-mata mereka yang terhimpit di tengah-tengah medan keganasan gambaran terakhir yang ingin kita melihat di Palestin dan Asia Barat?

  • A Night To Remember!

“Aah, you, you ketua! Saya tahan you!”

These were the words of an angry, loud and bold uniformed officer, who ran towards me, when he tightly grabbed held of my right arm calling me . I did not resist, handed my lit candle to a friend who was nearby and I was whisked away towards the Black Maria, accompanied by another uniformed officer who held tightly to my left arm. Hence, I had the privilege of having two officers, as if being pulled by two hound dogs leashed to my sides, thrusting me towards the Black Maria which was about 50 meters away.

  • Proverbs 26:28

Notice the evil effects of both deceit and flattery.

  • Hatred

LOVE FOR GOD AND HATRED TOWARDS OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS CANNOT CO-EXIST.

  • Our Stand Regarding The Attack In Gaza

I feel that a more effective route than a boycott is to seek like-minded people from the other side who also agree that we should seek peace above all else. Don’t go to a masjid to hear and anti-Israel ceramah; go to a synagogue to find Jews who condemn the war. Make friends with them, take the first step towards a common goal.

  • 2 Corinthians 5:17

‘The old has gone, the new has come!’ Will this be true of us during the Year of the Ox which commences today?

  • Season’s Greetings From The Micah Mandate

I am no longer my own, but thine.
Put me to what thou wilt, rank me with whom thou wilt.
Put me to doing, put me to suffering.
Let me be employed by thee or laid aside for thee.
Let me be full, let me be empty.
Let me have all things, let me have nothing.
I freely and heartily yield all things
to thy pleasure and disposal.
And now, O glorious and blessed God,
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
thou art mine, and I am thine. So be it.
And the covenant which I have made on earth,
let it be ratified in heaven. Amen

– A New Year’s Covenant Prayer in the Wesleyan Tradition (UMH 607)

  • Take Away Jesus And I’ll Be A Coward

While there maybe needs and issues which call us to respond to different situations, and often these become the common ground in which many of us converge and join efforts for the common good. What interests me is apart from that starting point which is more visible to others, how about the less visible and often more central place where we which is unapologetically part and parcel of our who we are?

  • Lamentations In Gaza

Sirs, you say our God is terrorism and fanaticism,
that our family and our life is all one fatalism.
Sirs, you said your God is love, hope and light,
but so far we see Him teaching might is right.

  • The Year Of The Cow

Depending on who you consult, 2009 is the year of Brown or Earth Cow, and it can be either a very good year or turn out just the opposite
