
Dr. Richard A. Jensen (who retired as Professor of Homiletics at the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago and wrote Thinking in Story: Preaching in a Post-Literate Age) was the person who introduced me to the "Lake Wobegon" monologues and master American story-teller (and writer) Garrison Keillor during his visit to Malaysia a couple of years ago. While I've been pretty focused in appreciating "Chinese-ness" the past week, I'm listening one of Keillor's show right now appreciating the best of humor, music, and storytelling beyond my heritage as well. We are not alone ... and somehow the strange combination for humor, music and stories manages to connect us in our common humanity.
