Reading Divine Conspiracy, something similar was mentioned... We believe education is about gaining knowledge (in this case, answers), hence the belief that the Sermon on the Mount was a list of 'laws' for the Kingdom, etc... yet in Jesus' time, education was about HOW TO LIVE, and so the Sermon was more like a reflection or discourse for the layperson. Anyway, school is about filling our brains not our hearts nowadays, so... Who really finds use for all these 'facts'? On with the questions!
