Sounds like quite a meeting! Thanks for the sneak peek. The way the meeting was structured reminded me of Stott's 2000 LICC Lectures, looking at Jesus through many lens, which became the book "The Incomparable Christ" - yet another on my too long need-to-read list.

The Catholic and eschatological Jesus' sound especially fascinating, never having read Wright's weighty tomes nor interacted much with the RC tradition.

Hey, thanks for commenting on Moser's Musings. I agree, so much of the emerging church stuff here in the states is very U.S. centric. A global perspective would benefit us greatly, especially interms of missiology. Looking forward to continuing the conversation. Blessings, Drew

Thanks Yew Khuen for these affirming words. You worked behind the scenes as well as keeping us on track :-) The chicken rice before the meeting was good. For me, emergent Malaysia (as we call it now) is a group of friends creating some space for a generous orthodoxy to be in conversation, a holistic spirituality to be cultivated, a missional engagement to be catalyzed, all in the context of a deep communal ecclesiology.

Thanks Sivin & Alwyn for taking the time to record the proceedings of our worship meeting. I came away learing more about our Lord - how his presence envelopes every aspect of living out the faiht - he meets us is liturgy, sacrament, study and service, also reminded of ways I've learnt to know and related with him (during David & Raj's presentations).

More than that, in the candid discussions, humility of admitting how "at our worst" we undermine what we celebrate in our traditions "at our best", and being ministered by Kia Meng in song & Sivin in the Eucharist... I'm reaffirmed that the Body of Christ truly is alive amongst us.
