May 13 - Not forgotten …

The May 13 incident: another view

This makes me want to get the book and have another look.

The story behind the publishing of “May 13″

I loved this line …  “May 13″ isn’t another fashionable pomo attempt at rewriting history. I can’t speak for Dr. Kua or the rest of the Secretariat, but there is such a thing as objective truth.” :-)

While celebrating Mother’s day was “nice” today … but this incident was in some conversations this past week and has been lingering in my mind.

u-liang - I’m happy the book is at an affordable price. While I don’t expect information to be free, but it must be accessible :-)

The book is with my mom. What a curious and interesting convergence of interests :)

Then again, she was at the frontlines, so to speak. Back in 1969, she was a student at the Technical College which was just a few blocks away from Kampung Baru where a lot of the mobs mobilised from.

Bob K - now I understand it runs in the genes! That’s why you got a jumpstart in the womb?
