It was quite refreshing to listen to a theologian start talking from the topic of Food … and of course, it’s never just about what we consume physically, but more of how in our relating with food, and relating with others during the consumption of food theological insights which are relevant for transformation

very appropriate to talk about food. i remember the greeting “have you eaten?” from when i was there.

Joshua, we had some technical difficulties and tragically lost the morning sessions. I haven’t checked on how was the rest. But Leron has loads to download in written form on his site.

andrew - great to get a comment from the one and only tallskinnykiwi! You are right on the “have you eaten?” greeting … we initiated Leron into that

I’m not involved in Dr. Chin’s lectures. I’ve met Dr. Calvin Chin when he came to see Brian McLaren last year. He joined us for lunch with Brian so I think that gave a chance to be up close and personal I’m not sure of the content of his lectures. I think it’s time to drop him an email … Anything that goes beyond mere Brian bashing would be healthy for us in Asia …
