It is a fact that NEP did nothing to help the poor. Infact, if anything to go by, it has enriched a certain group of people and drove the rich and poor gap wider. NEP has been a bad news from the start and it is just timely that we finally have someone brave enough to attempt to put a stop to it. Think of it this way, is either we have someone brave enough to attempt to stop it or eventually, a revolution will happen to stop it. I rather someone brave enough as revolution always spells bloodshed. The fact of the matter is that there will never be a good to time make such announcement as there are plenty of people who will ultimately suffer the consequences of such termination. These people will no longer be able to have plenty of wives and mistresses, stay in big luxury houses befit a king, travel everywhere in 1st class, have their precious fattee kids go international school or be schooled in some prestigeous school overseas... and the list goes on. These people are scared shitless of the eventuality and hence, the need to feel sensitive! If I am them, I too will feel sensitive! While we are at this sensitive subject, it is very interesting to note that certain race in Penang is feeling the fear when a person in power make statements that seemed threatening to their rights. I hope these people will now know how the non-malays have been feeling everytime a person in power make threatening remarks or statements to the rights of non-malays. What goes around, comes around.
