there’s a book in Borders called “Discover Your INner Economist” which offers some tips for ‘redeeming’ meetings:
1. have everyone stand up until meeting is over
2. implement ‘payments’ for time taken to speak…so all are given, e.g., 10 minutes limits, and can be charged $5 for each extra minute used?
3. have silent ‘votes’ for quality of that which is spoken?
alwyn, the stand up idea is good … though some chairmen act more like stand up comedians!
