Planting Seeds for a Better World
Sounds like there are some insights here for genuine engagement at all levels and other issues too. It doesn’t resolve the tensions before us and within us easily. But perhaps, we can hope for better ways forward.
This is a very good monologue; thoughtful, articulate, and balanced. Reasonable persons, such as N.T. Wright, realize there many issues are not simplistic but are in fact multifaceted, and we must not rush to judgment about other human beings based upon one given aspect of their personalities. The totality of who any particular person is should guide us in forming our perceptions of him or her. This is the essence of my recently released biographical novel, Broken Saint. It is based on my forty-year friendship with a gay man, and chronicles his internal and external struggles as he battles for acceptance.
