We’re celebrating our 4th Anniversary this sunday because we didn’t want it too close to Easter (it’s suppose to be on 1st April … yes, BLC was resurrected on April fools day and I remember I spoke on “being fool’s for Christ!”).
This is a picture of the Father’s House when I first saw it before our 1st renovation and clean up. The place was abandoned for many years but in the year 2000 God had other plans and it’s still in progress 🙂
I like this, it shows that when man has vision he sees things as they could be not as they are. Combine that with God’s call and hey presto you have BLC as it stands today, great stuff
Being a person who’s interested in architecture and interior design, I am very fascinated with how people could convert abandoned places to places of refuge like BLC. Do you have an “after” picture? 🙂
(At least it’ll help me recognise the place when I visit one day! :D)
Anyways, when I was studying in Australia, we drove down this highway – Albany Highway, and it had a lot of farms dotting its sides. Some of them have abandoned houses, and we explored most of them. It was so fascinating, even a little sad, to see such humble abodes – and some grand ones – abandoned. Always been a personal dream of mine to ressurect such houses.
Though mom said “pantang”! Who knows what lurks there! 😛
