Peter Berger in his book, “A Rumour of Angels”, identified 5 “signals of transcedence” that proves God exists:
(1) human propensity for order
(2) play as in a child playing
(3) hope
(4) outrage against evil
(5) humour
Thanks Alex for the references. I like the word “signals” (which is close to the word “sign” but even more “lively”) I find it interesting to observe many point to (1) human propensity for order as the initial “pointer” to God when the other 4 are equally valid starting points. The full range is even more enriching – and in touch with humanity.
