THIS YEAR NEEDS ADVENT Needs a keeping space Of silence and of darkness nearing down, Someplace where all that can be still is stilled And everything but hope and fear are gone, Where there is less of me and more of grace. There in the waiting moments you have willed Likes healing for an often-wounded…

Jojo Fung Rocks!
This is my friend Jojo Fung (I shall now take a bit of credit for helping him set up his blog! :-)). He’s fun, he’s articulate. I admire his work amongst, concern and advocacy especially for and with the Orang Asli communities. His prolific in his theological writings, full of energy in all his pursuits….
Merdeka 2007: Revolution of Hope
I’ve been a little busy with the new born baby no.3, before I’m off to another set of responsibilities, I better not forget informing you of a special time of reflection together as Christians next Sunday. For those of you who remember my good friend – “the guy with the cool hair” – Jesuit Father…
Are you part of the mess?
* Note from me: I suspect this post emerges out of our recent Friends in conversation Gathering. Good to see our conversations on Saturday have some rippling effect. * Are you part of the mess? At least 30 people participated in a pretty free flowing conversation beginning with initial starters from our 2 guests: Goh Keat Peng and Rev. Dr. Hermen Shastri. It was good to see some new or less…

Making Friends in Noah’s Ark
As usual my good friend Alwyn Lau beats me in getting his notes and reflections up on the recent Friends in Conversation gathering on “Politics and the Kingdom” last Saturday afternoon. Before, I catch up with my own thoughts, please feel free to listen to his. He does have a way with words – a…
How Can We Make A Difference? – Conversations on Politics and the Kingdom
I’m blocking out this Saturday, October 27, 2.30 – 4.30pm at Bangsar Lutheran Church for some conversations that I think are worth having. And here’s the email we sent out to invite people, you are welcome too 🙂 Dear friend, It has been a while since our last conversation, although I’m sure during this time…
Reformation Polka
I’ve enjoyed doing the series on “Reformation Principles” for two weeks. I started with Scripture Alone and then did Faith Alone last Sunday. This week will be Grace alone and climaxed with Christ Alone next Sunday. This Polka is a nice supplement to the more serious diet of preaching.
Mooncake Festival Celebration
I’m looking forward to this Saturday. If anyone is interested to come please let me know. Here’s the map to the venue.
